This is a hands-on project management role for someone who knows how to take a complex technical effort, turn requirements into an actionable plan, establish accountability, and keep the team moving toward critical milestones.

While this position does not include direct personnel management, you will play a key role in coordinating cross-functional teams, assigning ownership, managing dependencies, identifying risks, and communicating project status to leadership.

The Project Manager for our Cyber Security Team will:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of a major Red Team certification and accreditation project, from requirements identification through assessment, remediation, approval, and sustainment.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and critical-path activities.
  • Translate complex certification and technical requirements into actionable tasks, work packages, ownership, and measurable completion criteria.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, technical SMEs, government stakeholders, assessors, and supporting organizations to keep project activities on track.
  • Track schedules, milestones, dependencies, action items, and deliverables; identify overdue, at-risk, and critical-path activities and drive resolution.
  • Develop Cradle charts, dashboards, Pareto charts, historical trend analyses, and other visual reporting tools to communicate project performance and identify areas requiring attention.
  • Monitor planned versus actual performance and provide data-driven recommendations to address schedule, resource, technical, and documentation risks.
  • Manage certification readiness activities, including requirements traceability, gap assessments, deficiencies, corrective actions, and closure criteria.
  • Coordinate the collection, review, organization, and maintenance of certification artifacts and supporting evidence.
  • Maintain project risk and issue tracking, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively escalate concerns that may impact project objectives or timelines.
  • Lead project meetings, working groups, readiness reviews, and status meetings; document decisions, action items, owners, and deadlines.
  • Prepare recurring status reports, dashboards, briefings, and executive-level summaries highlighting progress, risks, accomplishments, and upcoming milestones.
  • Establish standardized project management processes, tools, and trackers to improve visibility, accountability, and certification sustainment.
  • Capture lessons learned and implement process improvements to create repeatable processes for future cyber certification efforts.
