Responsibilities

Millennium is hiring an Enterprise Architect to support a Department of Defense program. This position is 100% remote. An active Secret clearance is required.

The Enterprise Architect will:

  • Serve as the lead Enterprise Architect, developing, maintaining, and presenting enterprise architecture, supporting architectures, data models, and technical standards aligned with DoD, Navy, and NAVWAR requirements.
  • Develop and maintain architectural artifacts using the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), including Operational (OV), Systems (SV), Capability (CV), Data & Information (DIV), and Fit-for-Purpose views for both current ("As-Is") and future ("To-Be") environments.
  • Design and manage the DoDAF Meta Model (DM2), including conceptual and logical data models that support enterprise data governance and architecture repositories.
  • Review, evaluate, and approve architecture artifacts supporting Navy IT Enterprise initiatives, including commercial cloud and secure cloud computing (SCCA/cSCCA) environments.
  • Define enterprise architecture methodologies, standards, tools, and processes while establishing requirements for an integrated, authoritative Enterprise Architecture Repository.
  • Develop end-to-end system integration architectures that support cloud modernization, interoperability, and enterprise-wide technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with program leadership, engineering teams, cybersecurity stakeholders, and government representatives to ensure architectural alignment, compliance, and successful implementation.
  • Support submission of Enterprise Architecture artifacts to the NAVWAR Architecture Working Group (AWG) and ensure compliance with NAVWAR Enterprise Architecture policies and standards.
  • Provide technical architecture guidance and recommendations to government leadership, including Program Managers, Lead Engineers, and Infrastructure Leads.

 

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Security Clearance and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Management, or a related field and 8 years of relevant experience developing Government owned system-of-systems architectures and designs that utilize open architecture and interoperability. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Cameo and proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Visio, with familiarity with DoD acquisition and engineering processes.
  • Preferred: Experience working in Agile environments and using JIRA.

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
