The Mission Lead is responsible for coordinating directly with government leads and stakeholders to define mission scope, manage assessment timelines, and ensure all operations are conducted within established boundaries. This role requires a seasoned cyber operations practitioner who can translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable deliverables for both technical and executive audiences.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government mission leads, providing regular status updates, technical briefings, and post-mission reporting
  • Author and deliver comprehensive assessment reports, executive summaries, and after-action reviews tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure tools, infrastructure, and tradecraft are prepared and appropriate for mission requirements prior to execution
  • Monitor mission activities in real time to verify compliance with RoE, adjusting operations as necessary to prevent unintended impact or scope creep
  • Conduct threat-informed adversary emulation using documented TTPs aligned to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
  • Support capability development efforts, including tool customization, script development, and tradecraft refinement to meet evolving mission needs
  • Facilitate deconfliction with defensive teams and mission stakeholders during and after assessments
  • Mentor junior operators and contribute to team training, knowledge sharing, and professional development

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in offensive cyber operations, red teaming, or adversarial assessment roles
  • SPECIALIZED experience in Red Teaming, Computer Network Attack (CNA), Computer Network Exploitation (CNE), and/or penetration testing
  • Demonstrated experience leading or co-leading red team missions from planning through reporting in DoD, federal, or comparable high-security environments
  • Experience developing and enforcing Rules of Engagement and operational boundaries for adversarial assessments
  • Proficiency with offensive toolsets including: Cobalt Strike, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, BloodHound, and similar platforms
