Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join us for an on site position in Stafford, VA. An active secret clearance is required to qualify for consideration.

 

The Mechanical Engineer will:

  • Review, develop, and comment on technical documentation (requirements, CAD files, test plans/reports, technical review documents, engineering change documents);
  • Conduct technical analyses, and attend design and Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) reviews;
    Witness the integration of hardware onto the platforms and the execution of tests, and review test plans and reports.
  • Develop Informational Briefs and provide results to the Government in time to support the schedule associated with each task;
  • Represent the Program Office on site and provide the primary communication conduit for engineering issues related to the Depot PoP and Inspect and Repair Only As Necessary (IROAN) of Amphibious Combat Vehicles (ACV) (manufacturing processes; plant operations; production quality).

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have an active secret clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field and a minimum of 4 years of experience reviewing and developing engineering design changes, conducting technical analyses, and reporting findings.
  • Experience in providing engineering support to a defense acquisition program.
  • Proficiency in developing and commenting on various engineering documents (Specifications, ICDs, ECPs, Test Plans/Reports, Engineering Analyses, DLA Form 339s).
  • Familiarity with the latest Engineering Standards for systems engineering, engineering technical data packages and engineering drawing standards.
  • Experience participating in technical analyses and design change reviews and witnessing integration of hardware onto the platform.
  • Experience participating in the planning and execution of test events, to include reviewing and providing comment to test plans and reports.

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
