Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to work in Las Vegas, NV (Nellis AFB). The candidate must have an active Top Secret clearance.

 

The candidate will provide Systems Engineering assistance that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system engineering to the acquisition process. The candidate will also:

 

  • Provide engineering support across the full acquisition lifecycle, from requirements analysis through system disposal.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, system architecture analysis, and state-of-the-art assessments to evaluate and recommend solutions.
  • Develop, document, and maintain system architectures using traditional and MBSE approaches, ensuring interoperability and compliance with requirements.
  • Improve operations by analyzing systems, recommending procedural changes, and supporting logistics, maintenance, and supply chain efforts.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams to design, code, test, review, and document software, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Perform system engineering activities including requirements, design, verification, risk management, and configuration control.
  • Develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and review contractor specifications/drawings for compliance.
  • Apply modeling and simulation to optimize performance of systems, training platforms, and simulators.
  • Contribute to acquisition documentation (e.g., AoA, SEP, CDR) and share lessons learned and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have an active Top Secret clearance.
  • BA/BS degree within a relevant discipline and 8 years of experience (5 years within a DoD acquisition office)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting all system engineering activities: requirements, design, verification, risk, interfaces, and configuration management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and documenting system architectures, identifying gaps, and recommending solutions using traditional or MBSE approaches.
  • Experience preparing/reviewing specifications, and applying modeling/simulation to optimize performance

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
