Responsibilities

 

Millennium Corporation is hiring an Acquisition Management Support Specialist to support a Department of Defense program in a fully remote capacity with travel expectations to Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Candidates must have an active Secret Clearance to qualify for consideration and will provide comprehensive support throughout the acquisition lifecycle of assigned products.

 

The role includes coordination of acquisition tasks, preparation of milestone documentation, and supporting the development and execution of acquisition strategies. The position is vital in managing product development and ensuring smooth transitions from initial concept through production, delivery, and sustainment. This individual will collaborate with various internal teams, stakeholders, and contracting entities to support efficient and effective product acquisitions.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Assist in managing and coordinating the acquisition process across all phases of the product lifecycle, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation and staffing of milestone documentation (e.g., acquisition strategies, milestone reviews, and related submissions) to ensure proper documentation for decision-making and approval processes.
  • Assist in determining the contracting strategy for products, help prepare and review contracting documents, and coordinate acquisition activities with the Army Contracting Command to ensure successful contract execution.
  • Actively participate in product Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), test events, test reviews, and product demonstrations to support product development and validation.
  • Assist in providing oversight for contracts assigned to specific products, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and supporting resolution of any contractual issues.
  • Support the preparation and management of the program budget, as well as the development and maintenance of the master schedule, ensuring alignment with acquisition milestones and delivery timelines.
  • Assist with the preparation of Supply Request Packages for submission to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and help manage the transition of products from the Program Management (PM) team to DLA or Army Sustainment.
  • Assist in the development and drafting of Acquisition Strategies, Acquisition Plans, and other essential acquisition documents to support program objectives.
  • Perform financial tracking and status reporting related to acquisition programs, ensuring key stakeholders are informed on progress and budget expenditures.
  • Assist with acquisition planning by assessing cost, schedule, and performance risks, and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

  • All candidates must have an active secret clearance to qualify for consideration.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience in an acquisition career field relevant to the duty assignment (e.g., Program Management, Contracting, Logistics)
  • Familiarity with the following:
  • Product Life Cycle Management
  • Project Team Management
  • Acquisition and Contracting Documents (e.g., J&A, Source Selection Plans, PWS, IGCE, D&F)
  • WAWF, iRAPT, Cost Analysis, Project Management, Database Management
  • GFEBS, DODI 5000.02, and the Defense Acquisition System
  • JCIDS (Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System)

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
