Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Senior Business Operations Specialist in Hunstville, AL, APG, MD & Ft Belvoir, VA. The candidate must have an active secret clearance. 

 

The Senior Business Operations Specialists to provide expert support in a dynamic DoD environment. The role involves managing and optimizing operational processes, coordinating cross-departmental projects, and ensuring efficient execution of  programs. 

 

These are full-time roles with work anticipated mid December 2024 upon award. 

 

Duties involved with this role:

  • Manage and improve business operations across departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and process optimization to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead operational planning, project management, and support implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures.
  • Provide data analysis and reporting to senior leadership to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless execution of programs and contracts.
  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience with process improvement, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with DoD policies, regulations, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in collaboration tools such a SharePoint, automated timekeeping systems, and communication tools (e.g., VTC devices).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in briefing and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies

 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8-12 yrs of related experience within a DoD environment.

  • Proficiency in financial software and databases, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
