Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer in Springfield, VA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. The position will be onsite with some flexibility to work remote.

  • Evaluate existing IT architecture and security designs and provide input on the adequacy of the security designs
  • Apply Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls in accordance with regulatory policies.
  • Performs vulnerability assessments using the approved DoD vulnerability scanner, Defense Information systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Provide continuous monitoring support for information systems
  • Bridge the gap between high-level security policies/requirements and technical/operational implementation of those requirements.
  • Manage the execution of systems security activities for multiple applications
  • Guide teams on the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process
  • Support development teams on Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
  • Participate in Information Assurance Testing and provide recommendations of baseline acceptance of system patches

Qualifications

  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance to work on this project
  • A bachelor's degree or master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience of relevant work experience or an associate degree and 12 years of relevant work experience. A high school degree can substitute a college degree if you can demonstrate 15 years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive experience with Assessment and Authorization(A&A) requirements specifically Authority to Operate (ATO) process and procedures within the Enterprise
  • Preferred experience with Security Framework regulations: NIST 800-53; ICD 503, Rev4; CNSS 1253
  • Preferred experience with Xacta, the IT and cyber risk management platform
  • Have a valid certification such as a CISSP, CISM, CISA or CASP on day 1 or within 6 months of hire

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
