Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Proposal Specialist to support their headquaters office in Arlington, VA.

 

The Proposal and Graphics Specialist is responsible for supporting all aspects of Millennium’s proposal development process, with specific emphasis writing, editing and graphics development. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Proposals, the Specialist will be directly involved in proposal content development, production coordination, ensuring compliance, facilitating color team reviews and schedule management. They will also have the primary responsibility of working with capture and proposal teams to design, develop and create winning proposal content and graphics, including technical approaches, schematics, organization charts, process flow diagrams and other key elements required for winning proposals.

 

Responsible to coordinate with Proposal Managers, Capture Managers, Operations Teams, Technical Subject Matter Experts, Consultants and Management to design and execute a winning proposal strategy, overseeing proposal development and proposal production process for multiple proposals at a time. Provide strategies and coordinate resource allocation of staff and consultants to support on-going analytical and administrative tasks of the proposal development communications and processes.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the proposal content (text, graphics) development for assigned proposals
  • Effectively support the proposal "color team" review process.
  • Ensure that all required resources are available as needed and that the proposal is compliant and delivered on time
  • Participate, conduct and/or schedule meetings, as required, for key proposal or task order checkpoints/color reviews, and other meetings.
  • Recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, and content in order to generate documents that that are easy to read and understandable.
  • Provide writing, proofreading, and editing of all types of proposals in support of business development efforts, as needed.
  • Edits draft and final text submitted by proposal team members to establish consistency of writing style throughout the proposal. Responsibilities vary depending upon proposal magnitude
  • Provides quality assurance checks to ensure that all document deliverables support the standards and procedures set forth in Company policies, procedures, and practices
  • Work with proposal team to conceptualize and develop professional proposal graphics
  • Support the proposal team with formatting and incorporating text, photographs, and graphics into proposal templates.
  • Contribute to the development of new concepts, graphics standards and templates, and improved processes and workflow systems.
  • Provide graphic designs to proposal personnel.
  • Assist with development of corporate marketing materials
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as required to meet proposal deadlines

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum 2 years of Government Proposal experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Proposal graphic design experience
  • Minimum BA / BS Degree from a Nationally Accredited College or University.
  • Fully proficient in standard commercial graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
  • Understanding of and experience with the federal procurement process and regulations.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint and desktop publishing software.
  • Command of English grammar, spelling, and composition and the ability to edit a document and significantly improve quality by identifying deficiencies in grammar, spelling, punctuation, proper usage, company standards, corporate style, format, and accuracy.

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
