Millennium Corporation is seeking a high-performing and experienced Sr. Manager, Capture to serve as the Sr. Manager, Capture.  This role will be dual-hatted, having both Capture Management responsibilities on a broad portfolio of new business pursuits, while also leading Millennium’s experienced team of Capture Managers. The Sr. Manager, Capture of Capture will be an integral leader of the Business Development team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development.

The Sr. Manager, Capture will possess a strong record of capture management success, with a track record of successful pursuits with a variety of Federal customers. The Sr. Manager, Capture should also have experience in strategic planning, account management, research and analysis, new business development, and all aspects of the proposal development process.

The Sr. Manager, Capture should also have demonstrated leadership experience managing both direct staff as well as matrixed support on short-term projects and proposals.


Responsibilities include:

  • Leads the team of capture managers responsible for the identification, prioritization, shaping and pursuit of all must-win business capture and growth efforts to attain new work sales targets.
  • Leading multiple strategic corporate capture opportunities that will have a direct impact on Millennium’s top-line growth and bottom-line profitability.
  • Linking strategic planning priorities to opportunity identification, capture planning, and proposal activities.
  • Ensure the quality production of Capture products to include but not limited to Gate Review briefings, Pitch decks, and Proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Account Manager (TAM) and other SME’s to develop an understanding of the enterprise domain to develop detailed win strategies, solutions, and action plans tailored to the customer’s operational environment.
  • Drives an integrated cross-functional team for planning and execution of designated customer campaigns in coordination with capture teams, marketing, technical staff, and operations.
  • Lead developing win strategies and supporting win themes that create value for the customer and drive deliverable solutions for the proposal team.
  • Conducting competitor analysis, aka ‘Black Hats’
  • Active engagement in the proposal color team review process, ranging from participation to organizing and leading as required.
  • Measures, analyzes, and reports on status of business development Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Performance Indicators (PI’s) with actuals, forecasts, trends analysis, gap analysis, etc.
  • Ensures quality, accuracy and current data management practices for the Millennium CRM tool, the Opportunity Management System (“OMS”), representative of all sales opportunities, status, notes, and associated documentation


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of industry experience and atleast 5 years of proven track record in Federal Government contracting with demonstrated successful contract wins
  • Experience developing and driving series of proactive actions to improve business acumen.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Active Secret US Government security clearance
  • Flexible work locations, including remote/work from home, meetings at the HQ office in Arlington, VA, and occasional local and national travel.

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience supporting the US Intelligence Community (IC), including successful pursuit of new business opportunities in at least two IC member agencies
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI


Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10%
