Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Platform Operations Engineer in Ft. Gordon, GA.  Candidate must hold an active DOD Secret clearance to be considered.

 

The Platform Operation Engineer – Cloud on-boards and helps product teams maintain a production environment (k8s, Openshift, VMWare PKS Essentials, etc...). They are "disconnected" from the platform team but do work closely with the platform team to ensure product teams are successful. Strong knowledge of the product, the platform and containerization of applications. The IT development team ensures that all development tools, such as IDEs, repos, desktops, chat tools, etc... are all updated and accessible. Their customer is the developers who are leveraging the Level Up platform. The IT operations team is a 24/7 mission support cell that ensures that the Cloud One environment is stable and accessible. Their customer is the operators who are using applications within the Cloud One environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experienced in developing, testing, and maintaining containerized applications utilizing docker, k8s, Openshift, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Source Version Control and Build/Release tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of Software Build process and how it connects to Cl/CD.
  • Have a passion for Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Experienced in providing DevSecOps implementation using Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar tools.
  • Assist dependent teams through the SDLC process (including requirements gathering, configuration, testing to integrate DCO Analytics applications).
  • Provide all the Cybersecurity and RMF A&A artifacts required for an Authority-To-Operate (ATO) and/or an Interim Authority to Test (IATT) as applicable to the DCO Analytics apps.
  • Maintain integration documentation.
  • Work with functional team members to update user guides and training materials.
  • Support developmental testing and operational testing.
  • Resolve application integration issues
  • Design, configure, support and administer an enterprise wise DCO Analytic Platform solution for on-prem and cloud services.
  • Coordinate with Application owners to identify dependencies and application requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Solution Migration and Handover Plans.
  • Oversee the work on junior developers
  • Assist application teams through the SDLC process (including requirements gathering, configuration, testing to integrate applications and services)
  • Provide technical solutions to include troubleshooting support, break-fix operations, patching, and other day-to-day activities required to maintain the health of on-prem and cloud applications and services.
  • Escalate and work closely with product vendors to support the technical environment.
  • Be able to explain highly technical concepts to both technical peers and those with no technical experience or background.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree - experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 4+ years of enterprise cloud platform development.
  • Hands-on experience working with languages and frameworks like Go, Python, C#, Javascript, VueJs, SQL

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal if any, as required by the client.
