Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Project Manager in Ft. Gordon, GA.  Candidate must hold an active DOD Secret clearance to be considered.

 

The Project Manager (PM) is the product owner of the analytical tool and application development, deployment, and maintenance lifecycle.  The PM will us an Agile earned value management process.  The PM will work closely with all stakeholders to define and adhere to the scope, schedule, and budget of the product(s).  PM will work with key team members to plan and schedule Agile sprint development methodology for each product road map. The PM prepares and delivers routine and as-needed contract deliverables, client and corporate briefings, and budgetary and scope documents. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks for a geographically dispersed team.
  • Establish and maintain a product road map to measure project progress.
  • Coordinate logistics and logistics related activities.
  • Lead technical and programmatic interaction with other contractors and government offices.
  • Ensure workplace safety and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintains and manages the customer interface at the senior levels of the customer organization.
  • Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.  Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
  • Guide teams to help them stay on track with agile techniques, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure the overall strategy is being met.
  • Lead agile workshops for both development and functional teams, as well as key stakeholders.
  • Promote and advocate a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and milestones and being accountable for them.
  • Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset and ensure the organization is at the forefront of industry best practices.
  • Maintains and manages the customer interface at the senior levels of the customer organization.
  • Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.  Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree - experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years of progressive management experience with 2+ years in an agile environment.
  • PMP Certified.
  • Analytic or software development experience.

  • Good interpersonal skills - able to communicate (nonverbal, speak, & write) and reach satisfactory consensus across disparate technical and management stakeholders.

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10%, as required by the client.
