Responsibilities

The Senior Technical Account Manager will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to our current and prospective Federal and Commercial customers in support of business development and capture management. This position requires a strong understanding of the cyber security landscape with a special emphasis on thought leadership in security consulting for offensive and defensive cyberspace operations, threat, and risk management across both legacy and emerging IT environments.

 

The Senior Technical Account Manager position will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to understand and interpret customer needs and develop compelling solutions that solve mission/business problems.  This position will report to the Director of Capture Management & Campaign Strategy.

 

 

The Technical Account Manager will be responsible for:

  • Opportunity identification and Technical Qualification/Capture support for new business opportunities
  • Customer Engagement/Use Case Recommendations and Education (Emerging Tech & Solution Development) with documented technical strategies and approaches
  • Actively lead the synchronization of a cross-functional team to shape and accelerate opportunity pursuits, documenting and effectively communicating technical solutions that result in company branding, differentiation, and ultimately new work sales
  • Lead Technical Writer for White Papers, Thought Leadership and Proposal Support (shaping strategies and support the development of win themes that create value for the customer and drive deliverable solutions for the proposal team)
    • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment;
    • Serve as the technical voice of the customer and collect feedback that drives continuous improvement and innovation initiatives;
    • Support Capture Manager pursuits, understand customer requirements and communicate value-driven solutions that address the needs and problems;
    • Build use case recommendations and educate prospective customers on new and emerging portfolio solutions to guide them on their IT modernization journey
    • Deliver professional presentations and demonstrations that illustrate our value proposition within the context of the customer’s operational environment;
    • Support opportunity identification and qualification activities to enable the development of a high-quality and healthy sales pipeline;
    • Develop opportunity shaping strategies and support the development of win themes that create value for the customer and drive deliverable solutions for the proposal team;
    • Actively lead the synchronization of a cross-functional team to shape and accelerate opportunity pursuits that results in sales;
    • Demonstrate thought leadership through the development of whitepapers and participation in public speaking events;
    • Strong experience as the lead technical writer for the development of compelling content in support of enterprise solutions for whitepapers, proposals, and other customer facing responses; Proven experience in supporting new opportunity pursuits and on-contract growth;
    • Support a matrixed team responsible for the identification, prioritization, shaping and pursuit of all must-win business capture and growth efforts;
    • Provide unique insight into the competitive landscape and recommendations for position-to-win priorities for key pursuits;
    • Regularly track customer contact within the Opportunity Management System;
    • Assist in identifying, developing and documenting case studies from validated customer advocates;

Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent degree / work experience
  • 5-7 years of proven track record with a combination of FedGov and commercial customers interface (primary focus cybersecurity)
  • Manages time and prioritizes effectively to meet deadlines and expectations 
  • Experience working within geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams
  • A confident communicator who has experience working with customer senior leadership and leveraging access into deal making and building long term, sustainable business strategies and deals
  • Excellent business acumen with strong written communications skills;
  • Strong analytical mindset with proven track record for driving strategic enterprise IT frameworks and solutions’

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements

Up to 30% travel required
