Millennium Corporation is hiring a Network Designer to support a program in Langley, VA. Candidates must have an active Top Secret Clearance.


The Network Designer will oversee the Link 16 Network development affecting the Air Force. He or she will interface with Joint and Coalition Forces to coordinate policies affecting the entire Link 16 Enterprise. Ensures all USAF Link 16 Networks satisfy the needs of war fighting forces, training units, and test organizations. Produces design outputs required for successful management of Tactical Data Links.

  • Knowledge of the JNDA and two years’ experience in the AF employment of the JTIDS and MIDS and other Link 16 terminals, the sequence and timing of contingency and operational events and key strategic requirements in the context of tactical information exchanges applicable to current AF programs and weapons systems. Or the individual must have operated and maintained a Link 16 terminal such as current crew positions; CRC/ASOC Gateway - 1C5; AWACS/JSTARS – Communications Technician; Rivet Joint – Data Link Operator; or similar type position. 
  • Knowledge of the Link 16 network design process and two years’ hands on experience in the use of the JNDA software for development of Link 16 networks and the interoperability requirements for Link 16 operations in Joint and coalition TDL operations.
  • The use of the JNDA software requires proficiency with Link 16 network design development, to include creation of Link 16 network description documentation, platform load file generation, Link 16 network modification, and load file modification.
  • Knowledge of and two years’ operational experience in data link management and employment of US military C2, ISR, and fighter/bomber systems; technical understanding and one years’ experience with Link 16 message structures and terminal setup, loading, crypto, and operations. Knowledge of and two years’ experience with the operations and sustainment of currently used tactical data link systems and their applicability in the conduct of combat air operations, including the ability to develop working hypothesis and theory to address current and future system requirements.
  • Current knowledge, within five years, of AF Link 16 weapon system configurations and capabilities, weapon systems Link 16 network design requirements, Link 16 network design software, support tools, and network analysis methods.


  • Candidate must have an Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Bachelors degree with 5+ years of experience OR Associates degree with 7+ years of experience


  • Preferred two years’ staff experience with communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, as part of the staff action officer processes for coordination of taskers using existing Task Management Tool (TMT) or other staff coordination standards, document reviews, program updates, and background papers.
  • Preferred two years’ recent, within five years, experience on staff with planning, organizing, and negotiating effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations for TDL network design development.

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
