Overview

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Configuration Management Specialist to work 100% remote. Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

The Configuration Management Specialist:

  • Contributes substantive content for maintaining and developing the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of the concepts of defining hardware and software configuration processes and procedures.
    Contributes substantive content for software quality assurance process audits.
  • With no guidance, define, document, and maintain the CCB, including roles and responsibilities of CCB members.
  • With no guidance, defines hardware and software configuration processes and procedures, version control processes, policies, and procedures to ensure they are followed on hardware and software development projects.
  • Utilizes CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration items.
  • Analyzes changes of product design to determine the effect on the end product design and function and determines and prepares documentation necessary for change.
  • Coordinates with customers and manufacturers to determine a process for change reporting.
  • Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. 
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
    Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Works under general supervision or my supervise team.
  • Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
  • May direct and lead others in projects.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance
  • At least six (6) years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR High School Diploma at least thirteen (13) years of relevant experience

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
