Overview

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Network Planning Manager in Ft. Belvoir, VA. Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI. 

Responsibilities

The Network Planning Manager will:

  • Work with Defense Information System Agency (DISA) to resolve any AIE network outages and degradation
  • Works with U.S Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) to resolve network outages and degradation
  • Responsible for whitelisting requests and Network diagrams (internal and external network)
  • Processes all new network connections via Remedy for approvals or utilizing assigned processes
  • Responsible for getting network connection packages completed
  • Works with Network Enterprise Center (NEC) Network administrators to establish network transport services internally and externally
  • Attend meetings with 2nd Regional/4th Regional, NEC, System integrator, Organic sustainment team and DISA to complete and resolve issues with new or existing network connections
  • Completes Circuit approvals entry in DISA SNAP (System/Network Approval Process) and obtain approvals
  • Completes Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM) registry
  • Responsible for NETMOD-C (DoD/Army Network infrastructure change) and JRSS migration coordination
  • Assist government with approved network encryptions and network security configuration for connected Information Systems and Close Restricted Network
  • Processes DNIC DISA IP requests and approvals

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to liason across multiple stakeholds to resolve network action items.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, engineering, scientific or relevant technical discipline. 
  • At least 12 years of practical experience required. 2 years of relevant experience with an associate degree will be considered the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree. 4 years of relevant experience will be considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
  • Working knowledge of the following concepts:
    • Local Area Network (LAN), Virtual LAN (VLAN), Wireless LAN (WLAN), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
    • Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols
    • Cloud network concepts and Virtual Private Network establishment
    • Internet protocol (IP), Network Address Translation Protocol (NAT), Port Address Translation (PAT)
    • Working knowledge with subnetting, Private and Public IPV4 and IPV6
    • Cisco router, switch, and Cisco security device management
    • Completing Ports, Protocols and Services (PPS) and PPS approvals

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements

Less than 10%
