Millennium Corporation is hiring a Splunk Adminitrator to support a program in Charleston, SC. Candidate must have an active Top Secret Clearance. 

The Splunk Administrator performing the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the Splunk software. Functions include planning and scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware and operating systems and applications software; managing accounts, network rights; managing systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability; implementing security procedures and tools; developing and documenting systems administration standard operating procedures; resolving significant hardware/software interface and interoperability problems; ensuring systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency; maintaining systems configuration; managing the installation and integration of system fixes, updates, and enhancements; and ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices. Experience with user account management and associated DoD security practices

• Authorized to view audit records on Central Log Server
• Authorized to administer all DNS Servers and all zones

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Associates degree or Technical Training acceptable
• 2 -3 years of experience, One to three years of hands on experience as a Splunk Administrator performing the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Splunk.
• Must have the following Certifications: Splunk Certified Systems Administrator AND one of the following CND Infrastructure Support Certification and One of the following (CCNA, Security CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
• Experience with DoD security practices
• Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks where possible
• Managing systems resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
• Developing and documenting systems administration standard operating procedures
• Ensuring systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency; maintaining systems configuration
• Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices
• Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Splunk systems
• Experience with logical volume management
• Knowledge of virtualization concepts as well as industry best practices to include virtualization technologies and management tool

Highly Desired Skills: 

• Experience with shell scripting. Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
• Experience with RedHat/CentOS
• Experience with various storage technologies such as SAN, NFS, virtual SAN, iSCSI, or direct attached
• Knowledge of rsyslog routing, queuing, and filtering

• Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
