Millennium Corporation is hiring Cyber Interns for the initial DOT&E Software and Cybersecurity​, T&E Cyber Center of Excellence (TECCE) – ​Pathfinder I Internship Program in. Intern must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance. 



Intern must be interested in in exploring the U.S. Government’s Cyber Security industry. The intern will gain in-depth knowledge of the government’s cyber security trade, apply their skills to Cyber projects, and grow their personal and professional networks. 


The Pathfinder program is developed from a decision of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) enshrined and funded in the FY20 Authorizations.  The SASC directed DoD to establish more cyber workforce development opportunities.    


Red Teams are groups of cyber professionals who attempt to replicate a real-world malicious cyber actor (nation state, criminal, &c) to help network owners identify and mitigate vulnerabilities that actual malicious actors might exploit.  This is done with the permission and knowledge of the network owners, but usually unknown to the network operators.  One might classify Red Team personnel as “white hat hackers.”  


Qualified candidate will be responsible for completing specific Cyber Security training courses to include:  

  • Virtual attendance at the Red Team Apprentice Course (RTAC) facilitated by Millennium Corporation Red Team instructors.  The RTAC is an intensive sixty (60) hour course conducted over six (6) days.   
  • Following completion of RTAC, interns work on the Job Qualification Record (JQR) curriculum  in the virtual lab environment (Battlegrounds).  Interns are allocated 26 weeks compensated @ 10 hours / week (6 months) to complete JQR.   
  • Interns will travel, as required, to specified Red Team locations to participate in Red Team training opportunities, or specific assigned projects.  While traveling, interns are entitled to per diem rates and expenses established by the Defense Finance and Accounting (DFAS) in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) 


  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government personal security clearance investigations 
  • High school diploma and working towards a Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • On track to graduate on time  
  • Interns must have access to a computer and internet service to complete the training.  Training is all web based, so no special hardware or software are needed. 
  • Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. 
  • Excitement and orientation to constant learning. 
  • Self-starter, actively seeks out assignments. 
  • Completes coursework on or ahead of time 
  • Analytical mindset – solves problems using repeatable, rigorous process 
  • Willing to take direction 

Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements

  • 10-20% travel requried
