Overview

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Network Architect in Ft. Gordon, GA. Candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with eligibility to get a Polygraph.

Responsibilities

The Network Architect will:

  • Manage computer networks, internet connections and intranet connections.
  • Design efficient and sustainable programs that can meet the present and future mission requirements.
  • Look at the big picture and what's needed over the next 3-5 years.
  • Create a roadmap guiding IT designs and implementation.
  • Coordinate and monitor the activities of other units to ensure compliance with the overarching plan of the project.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to provide solutions 
  • Select, design, implement, and utilize a myriad of IT products within a heterogeneous enterprise.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates for designing and implementing requirements.
  • Detect when a project is going off track and work towards restoring balance.
  • Review new systems designs and major infrastructure modifications for security implications prior to implementation.
  • Stay current in the latest information security and risk management knowledge, including new and emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assure that supported systems adhere to documented security policies and are performing to 100% effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance and be able to obtain a Polygraph.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, goal driven self-starter with strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Must be able to communicate across all levels of the organization, from non-tech end user community to c-suite audiences.
  • Experience with administration of virtual environments such as ESX, Hyper-V, KVM.
  • Knowledge with any of the following computer languages: C++, Basic.Net, Java, HTML.
  • Have good knowledge of operating systems: Windows and Linux and application servers.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and non-technical persons.
  • Must be good at issuing instructions and explaining things easily.

Business Development

  • Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.

Travel Requirements

  • Infrequent, 0-10% as required by client mission.
