Millennium Corporation is hiring a NOC Engineer in Charleston, SC. Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance.


The Network Operations Center team is seeking a security engineer/architect to provide Security Architecture Support or Cloud Security Architecture support services

  • Provides expertise on computer engineering and computer systems analysis
  • Supports the development of an Enterprise-wide Security Architecture and the design of a security model
  • Assesses network optimizations and vulnerabilities for executive level decisions.
  • Analyzes security services (infrastructure, application, identity) of existing and planned Cloud infrastructures (IaaS, PaaS)
  • Identifies gaps in security services
  • Serves as the SME in support of network infrastructure planning, cloud security, network design and hosting environment implementation.
  • Assists in the security engineering reviews of solutions, projects and programs for operational and developmental systems that are being researched, designed, and reviewed.
  • Provides recommendations and guidance on secure baseline configurations, such as the Defense Information Security FAA and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Supports identification, development, and documentation of deviations from these baseline configurations for all assets, including network devices, desktops, and mobile devices


  • Must have an active Secret or Top-Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • One of the following certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA Security, CEH, CFR, CHFI, CISA, CISSP, Cloud+, CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GCFA, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, GSNA, SCYBER, or SSCP
  • Experience in Network Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Linux Administration, Windows Administration or RMF Accreditation and Assessments
  • Experience leading teams or IT projects.
  • Experience with performing root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and respond to change quickly.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and produce work products independently
  • Ability to develop standard operating procedures and project documentation for systems, services, and applications
  • Familiarity with change control processes
  • Able to maintain and update VMware infrastructure, guests, and gold image templates
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for IT automation (i.e. Python or PowerShell)
  • Understanding of concept such as: Network Security, Security Operations & Administration, Incident Response & Recovery, Identity and Access Management, or Vulnerability Management
  • Experience supporting government customers in secure environments
  • Familiarity of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) operating standards and applicable guidelines


  • Cloud-security experience

Business Development

  • Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
