Millennium Corporation is hiring a Financial Analyst in Arlington, VA.
The Financial Analyst:
Must be a decisive multi‐tasker that can proactively track all program level financial data.
Individual must be capable of forecasting cost information and predicting cost issues that need to be addressed with Program Managers and other Management as required. Good research skills for determining market and competitor pricing data.
Analyze RFP/RFQ/RFI to determine cost pricing requirements, assessing risk and developing risk mitigation strategies and to strategize the best approach to pricing as well as assist developing the Cost/Price volume.
Analyze and develop estimates of labor, material, equipment, production, and other direct costs against actual expenses, historical data, or price‐to‐win data.
Prepare rough order of magnitude (ROM) to support bid strategies and develop price to win (PTW) strategies to ensure competitive bids.
Prepare cost proposals IAW the Request for Proposal (RFP), work breakdown structures (WBS), and basis of estimates (BOE).
Participate in pricing strategies for existing and new business opportunities to include business profitability analysis.
Assist with price/cost analysis on subcontractor proposals.
Provide support in developing Pricing Models, cost narrative and Pricing Proposals
Interfaces with management, Operations leads, Capture Managers, Business developers, and bidding partners. Requests cost inputs from them by sending templates or draft proposals when appropriate. Presents pricing progress in management reviews.
Analyze, track, update and maintain cost estimates and actuals, workplans, change orders, estimated costs at completion and estimated cost to complete.
Assist in the Month End close Process, to include reconciliation of projects/accounts, review and analysis of monthly financial data
Provide financial functions support, such as analysis, revenue forecasting, monthly and quarterly direct cost review, overhead cost review, and profitability.
Creates, maintains, and updates financial databases and spreadsheets, and generates various financial reports as required.
Assist in performing monthly analysis and reporting of budget to actual cost/revenue/profit comparisons.
Collaborate with other finance and contracts professionals to maintain contract accounts receivables
Compile invoice backup documentation to comply with client invoice specifications and Millennium’s internal records
Support Monthly invoicing of Cost Pluss (CPFF), Time and Material (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contracts in accordance with contractual agreement instructions and deadlines
Assist in resolving complex invoicing issues that arise due to unique billing requirements, project adjustments or system issues, including indirect and direct rate adjustments.
Complete accurate and compliant contract invoices in support of revenue, EBITDA and cash goals.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related degree, and 3‐5 years of experience in Government invoicing
Experience with Deltek CostPoint 7.1 and T&E
ADP experience is desired
Attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors
Working knowledge of Federal Regulation Acquisition (FAR) and Defense Contacting Auditing Agencies (DCAA)
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications to include MS Excel (Pivots, Lookups, Match) a must
Ability to multi‐task, prioritize and work efficiently
Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof‐reading skills and follow‐up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
Ability to work independently, self‐starter, energetic
Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast‐paced ever‐changing work environment
Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
