    Millennium Corporation is hiring an Acquisition Project Specialist in Lorton, VA. Candidate must have an  active Secret Clearance.

    Responsibilities

    The Acquisition Project Specialist will be responsible for advising and assisting a specific Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program's Security Department to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) mission. 

    • Provides acquisition expertise to support project planning and analytical activities.
    • Supports the Government client with the preparation of acquisition milestone decision documents.
    • Consults on contracts and acquisition management to support the procurement branch with high-visibility DoD activities.
    • Performs in a professional team environment to accomplish individual and team tasks in acquisition strategy and policy, pre-solicitation, pre-award contract documents, contract administration and financial management.
    • Leads, prioritizes, and collaborate (as needed) on research, data gathering, problem solving, data analysis and interpretation, and process and issue tasks.   
    • Develops products and documents to support Program processes, including but not limited to briefings, assessments, plans and reports, contractor deliverable evaluations, and official correspondence.   
    • Leads and support briefings to senior Government leaders.

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Bachelor of Science and 10 years’ experience OR Master’s degree and 7 years’ experience
    • PMP certification or DAWIA Level III in Project Management
    • Advanced Knowledge of acquisition and procurement documentation used to award DoD contracts with specific emphasis on Requirements Analysis, WBS, SOW, SOO, CDRL development, Market Research, and Analysis of Alternatives
    • Advanced Knowledge of principles and concepts regarding the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closing projects
    • Knowledge of PPBE concepts and principles.
    • Knowledge of DOD 5000.02 Series
    • Knowledge of Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
