    Millennium Corporation is hiring a Technical Writer in Charleston, SC. Candidate must have an active TS/SCI. 

    Responsibilities

    The Technical Writer will responsible for: 

    • Creating and structuring content in a wiki environment
    • Preparing, reviewing, revising and maintaining all program technical documents including system design, system integration, system operations, testing, and user documentation
    • Reviewing documentation prior to delivery to the customer and correcting for grammar, style, formatting, graphics, accuracy, and overall quality

    Qualifications

    • Active TS/SCI Clearance
    • Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, and Technical Writing with 5 years of experience OR Masters degree with 1 year of experience 
    • Experience researching, writing, editing, and proofreading technical data for use in documents, manuals, and procedures

    • Proficiency in editing and formatting documentation using Microsoft Office Products

    • Initiative and assertiveness to start a document from scratch, gathering the content, style/format guidelines, people, and resources necessary to complete the document with excellence

    • Ability to manage time and project tasks effectively to meet deadlines, communicating about project status along the way

    • An eye for detail, with keen observation skills and a commitment to carefully checking over the work of self and others to deliver documents of consistent quality, with very minimal errors

    • Excellent people skills to develop a good working relationship with the team and customer, listening attentively to their feedback and concerns so their often changing desires and needs can be addressed in future documents

    • Proactive team player with exceptional problem solving, communication, analytical, and technical skills supporting the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

    • Experience preparing, reviewing, revising and maintaining all program technical documents including system design, system integration, system operations, testing, and user documentation

    • Consulting with the PM, and engineering team in order to develop various documents, white papers, and point papers

    • Ensuring technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style

    • May establish style guidelines and standards for program texts and illustrations
