    Millennium Corporation is hiring a Cost Estimator in Lorton, VA. Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance. 

    Responsibilities

    The Cost Estimator will support team for a USG client. Support worldwide threat reduction programs, by conducting cost estimation and analysis of projects to reduce, destroy, or prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and enhance the safety and security of foreign nations’ weapons and biological materials.

    • Creating complete cost estimates for USG projects including scientific research and training, force protection measures, information technology solutions, facility construction and renovation, operations and maintenance of facilities.
    • Conducting cost research and documenting results for all required elements for USG projects.
    • Analyzing and verifying costs within US contractor and subcontractor cost proposals.
    • Assisting USG with contractor selection and negotiations by performing cost realism analyses.
    • Supporting project managers and technical staff with the development of project statements of work (SOWs), work breakdown structure (WBS), and pricing support efforts.
    • This position requires periodic travel to foreign nations as a US delegation team member, including working with government program managers and staff on fact-finding missions to project sites and conducting development or review meetings with foreign government officials.

    Qualifications

    • Active Secret Clearance
    • BA or BS degree with 5+ years of experience with cost analysis

    • Excellent, or ability to attain excellent, Microsoft Excel skills

    • Possession of excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

    • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Experience with completing individual tasks effectively and efficiently 

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Cost estimating experience with physical building construction (2+ years)
    • Experience with project management or working as DoD staff
    • Ability to apply critical thinking to a wide variety of problems
    • Ability to comprehend and analyzes complex problems
    • Ability to develop and understand complex cost models
    • Ability to be a self-starter and acquire expertise quickly
    • Ability to prioritize and balance time across most impactful workstream activities
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
