Millennium is hiring a Technical Documentation Writer in Huntsville, AL. Reporting directly to the Software Engineering Manager, the Technical Documentation Writer is responsible for the development of documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Responsible for drafting End User documentation including user guides, How-To’s, and release notes.
• Responsible for drafting engineering documentation
• Responsible for formatting source code annotations from automated sources (i.e. doxygen/sandcastle)
• Responsible for development of style guides and documentation and presentation templates
• Responsible for proof reading documents and presentations
• Creation and formatting of graphics and visual aids for documentation and presentations
• Occasional writing for technical proposals and grants

Required Experience:

• 3+ years experience as a technical writer supporting software product development
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills
• Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related discipline

Desired Experience:

• 5+ years experience as a technical writer supporting software product development
