  • Overview

    Millennium Corporation is hiring an Event Coordinator (Foreign Military Sales) for an immediate opening in Picatinny, NJ. Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance. 

    Responsibilities

    Qualified candidates will be responsible for:

    • Function as an Event Coordinator for FMS Activities with the familiarity in the DoD FMS Acquisition Policy and Process.  Plans, coordinates and leads all events dealing with JPEO Armaments and Ammunition leadership for all potential FMS matters.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with the JPEO designated Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) in preparation of the JPEO Armaments and Ammunition FMS Events.  Utilize knowledge to determine what information can be disclosed to each foreign country, taking into consideration signed Agreements, Memorandum(s) of Understandings (MOUs), Letter(s) of Intent (LOI), or Letter(s) of Offer and Acceptance (LOA) issued.
    • Assist the FMS lead for JPEO Armaments and Ammunition to address all FMS inquiries; coordinates with the JPEO product managers and support staff to meet the specific information requests from the foreign customers.
    • Coordinate with vendors, exhibitors and stakeholders during event planning
    • Create and distribute event listing pages on social media websites
    • Manage event set up, tear down and follow-ups
    • Establish standardized event procedures and train staff into properly executing them
    • Build and adhere to an event budget to avoid project overruns
    • Track event key performance areas and identify items to work on for future events Work across the JPEO to posture programs to be able to support future FMS events
    • Coordinate with installation leadership for all visits and events

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Ability to work independently
    • Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners
    • Experience coordinating large-scale events
    • Familiarity with event registration software
    • Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality management, marketing or related areas
    • Ability to work under strict deadlines
    • Working knowledge and understanding of the US Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
    • Basic knowledge and understanding on DoD Armaments and Ammunition capability and interoperability standards and requirements involving foreign partners.

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance 
    • Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of experience OR 10 years of experience in lieu of degree
