    Millennium Corporation is seeking a Lead Contracts Administrator in Arlington, VA to lead the corporate contracts department.


    The selected candidate will be highly organized with strong leadership, management and communication skills to establish and maintain an environment of contracts expertise. The Lead Contracts Administrator has overall (full life cycle) responsibility for all contract administration and some proposal activities of various size and complexity. This position reports directly to the CFO and will be the liaison with functional teams to provide guidance on interpretation of contractual requirements and risk analysis and will provide routine reporting on Contracts Team activities.


    This position requires a creative, forward thinking person comfortable leading and actively participating in all aspects of driving business growth, strategy and efficiency as part of a dynamic team. This position requires the ability to build strong internal and external customer relationships and lead and coach others with their professional development in a highly complex environment.     Responsibilities will include:

    • Development, implementation, and maintenance of Contracts policies and procedures, to ensure contractual, regulatory, and legal compliance.
    • Provide strong managerial, leadership, and technical contracts guidance to ensure compliance with all contract deliverables and requirements
    • Manage all employment actions including but not limited to: hiring, promoting, training, performing reviews, planning merit increases, and succession planning.
    • Lead / participate in proposal activities, such as preparation, submission, and negotiations to ensure compliant and competitive proposals
    • Responsible for preparation, negotiation, and management of subcontractor and business partner agreements
    • Ensure competitive position is maintained and enhanced; support all new business opportunities;
    • Support acquisition, due diligence, and integration activities, as required
    • Work with the company Executives, Vice Presidents, and other functional leaders to develop strategies for new business opportunities.
    • Establish and manage the Contracts department budget
    • Lead and/or provide assistance on special projects and initiatives, and perform other duties as required.


    • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years in US Federal Acquisition experience (DOD preferred).
    • At least 2 years of management/supervisory experience.
    • Professional certifications (CPCM/CFCM) preferred
    • Small business experience preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Experience in leading high performing teams and managing personnel
    • Expert on the fundamentals of contracts.  FAR, DFAR, DCAA, CAS compliance
    • Experience negotiating contract terms
    • Experience in identifying risks in terms and conditions and facilitating the mitigation of those risks
    • Experience with Purchasing
    • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to navigate compliance issues
