    Millennium Corporation is hiring an Interoperability Engineer in Aberdeen, MD. Candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.


    The Interoperability Engineer will be a member of the DCGS-A interoperability team with the following responsibilities:

    • Deriving detailed requirements to provide to software development teams
    • Advising the PMO in developing software and system architectures for data ingest and mediation functions
    • Assisting in technical oversight of vendor software development teams
    • Working with test teams to ensure that software deliveries meet the specified requirements at the functional, integration, system and system of systems test levels.
    • Reviewing and prioritizing software defects found in the software baseline based on requirements
    • Coordinating with external stakeholders on data formats and system of systems architecture for interoperability
    • Developing and maintaining documentation of software and data interfaces for DCGS-A
    • Supporting RFI's from system users to resolve Interop issues
    • Supporting, planning, directing, running test events for system requirement validation
    • Develop and maintain critical interoperability exchanges for CS11/12 and Common Operating Environment baseline
    • Able to quickly develop a knowledge of both technical and system views for DCGS-A Family of Systems and the various baselines that will be tested & fielded
    • Participate in all mission thread reviews and working groups for both current & future baseline development / maintenance
    • Coordinate with TCM Foundation and PM DCGS-A on interoperability requirements
    • Review and concur / non-concur / concur with modification vote on behalf of PM DCGS-A for weekly PCR packages submitted by Architecture Information Management & Knowledge Element (AIMKE)
    • Coordinate with the community at large for mission thread changes and development of new threads
    • Understand future capabilities and how these will impact interoperability with other systems in order to develop threads

    Preferred requirements:

    • Background in software development/software engineering
    • Knowledge of Army C4ISR systems
    • Experience with data mediation layers and data standards working groups
    • Experience with the transport layer and satellite communications
    • Experience with Army interoperability testing
    • Experience with NIE, AIC and I2E system evaluation events


    Must Haves: 


    • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance 
    • BA/BS degree and four (4) years of related experience
    • Strong communications and briefing skills and the ability to operate in multi-stakeholder environments
    • Strong grounding in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a particular emphasis on the requirements and integration phases
